Damage done

I have to admit that i really didnt want my first post on my ‘new’ blog to be about “a heretic from lakeland florida’. but, so it is. ive read many posts and watched many videos relative to this so called “revival” and have come to the conclusion that it sickens me to see how gullible some, no, alot of people really are when it comes to “basic spiritual truth”. are we that far from the lord that we cannot hear his voice that we would believe in some of the blasphemous occurences happening not only in lakeland but all over for that matter. to be honest i would not like to be part of a congregation that just came back fom a visit to lakeland, you talk about asking for some spiritual warfare! which brings me to my point, i feel sorry for relatives, fellow church members and friends of those that have “brought it back with them”. imagine how easy it will be for the “final” antichrist to persuade in the last days. I pray for all the strength and more importantly the wisdom to know the difference.

You and i have been there and done that…

I’ve read a few accounts from people who had members visit…its been bad. Especially when its been their pastor who have visited Lakeland.

The fall-out from this whole thing is going to reach into many many churches and congregations…its scary.

God bless you AW on your first post!

  2. Hey AW, I have added you to my favourites and I am looking forward to reading your blogs.
I love the picture of Jesus holding the young man up. It is such a powerful image, the first time I saw it I cried. What an awesome wonderful Saviour we have in Jesus Christ
    Matthew 11:28
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” Praise your name Jesus

  3. mel, thank you very much and i will do the same. and yes, it is a truthful image isnt it? i am excited about meeting fellow christians on wordpress, you are the first, (pjmiller is my mom, lol) god bless and have a great day!

  4. Hi AW,

I don’t think it’s so easy to be deceived, unless someone doesn’t want to hear the truth.

For some, the truth is a horrible, painful and terrifying thing. The lie is more appealing.

I’ve been watching this blog thing, and the youtube deal, and what strikes me is that the bloggers and youtubers calling for a return to biblical truth don’t seem to be many in the clergy, but normal lay people like us.

Likewise, I don’t think all of the blame lies with the wolves. It’s simply who and what they are.

It’s the lay people who have hired them. It’s the rank and file who refuse to abide in the word, who have rejected truth, who have sought out false teachers who will preach words which are easy on the ears.

It’s definitely a weird time we live in, ain’t it?

Glad to see you starting this blog!

    Laz

  5. AW,
‘Talk about spiritual warfare”. Yeah, this thing has put a rift in between myself and my relatives. I hate it. But worse than that, I hate that they can be so unwilling to examine with a critical eye. I will stand alone if need be.
It’s nice to meet you in the blog world.

  6. Hi Laz!!!

I’m overjoyed to see you here. You’re not going to believe this but i had just mentioned you to AW, and your powerful testimony, the day after he put the blog up–telling him of the good young Christian men of God i had met over the last few years through blogs and boards. You and Joe were two i mentioned.

People of God need fellowship so badly today–but i believe men do even more so then the sisters! ahaha…

I popped in here to check on his blog because he asked me to this evening when calling from Kansas: he got sent out on the road this morning to Colorado. He is due back Sunday,…

I won’t say anything concerning your comment [though i agree]….don’t want to step on AW’s toes. :-)

  7. nakita

I’m sorry to read this mess has caused a rift in your family..

    Stand strong and pray…

I’ll remember you in my own prayers in the coming days.

  8. nakita, first of all hello, unfortunately nakita there will times like this that u must stand alone, and remember that its not the family member your opposing but the enemy. i hope that many of those that have been contaminated by this revival, (the spirit thereof) will come to their spiritual senses. all u or anybody has to do is look at the fruit that it bears. aw

  9. What a surprise!

Really enjoyed the video and it is good to hear the Lord has a place for Truckers to fellowship while on the road.
