“I found a ’42 Martin 0-18 in trash pile…”

Believe it or not! Yes, strange things do happen….

Anyway – I put forth my best effort to reconstruct the guitar and it ended up sounding pretty good. Along the way, I saw many spiritual parallels between the guitar and my own life…. (link)

A Lost Sheep: Donnie Sumner Testimony

“What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?  And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance” ~ Luke 15: 4-7

Truckin for Jesus

Posted at youtube by pastorgeorgec:

My brother “Trucker Joe” pulled up in his Western Star on Pastors Appreciation Sunday. He said “After service we are going for a ride”

I was absolutely thrilled because I had always wanted to do that. It was a ton of fun. But we never lost sight that we are the witness of Jesus Christ and told many that day of His salvation.

Bishop G.E. Patterson “There’s Power in the Blood”

A welcome home ‘surprise’ for you AW. I know Brother Patterson was a favorite of yours. He’s sure missed, but our loss is heaven’s gain.

Life is in the blood: (Leviticus 17:11)  The blood cleanseth us from all sin: (1 John 1:7) We were purchased by His blood: (Acts 20:28) Blood can speak: (Genesis 4:10) And through His blood we attain true peace: (Colossians 1:20) and have been redeemed: (Hebrews 9:12Ephesians 1:7) The blood breaks down walls: (Ephesians 2:13-14) Gives us access to the Throne Room of God: (Hebrews 10:19) and the blood enables us to be over-comers: (Revelation 12:11)

the dirty carpet revival…

The story of how God has and is using this young 24 yr old man Brandt Russo, reminded me of AW’s post, Ordinary Folk. For those who don’t know of him, his story and ministry can be read about here at his myspace page.

You would have to have been living in a cave to have not read about the mess which came out of Lakeland Florida in recent months; the outpouring which was claimed to have been God sent, but which proved to have been nothing more then a work of man. There are mega stories on this all over the internet–especially in the blogosphere, so I won’t reiterate or re-hash what has already been said elsewhere.

BUT THIS, this story is amazing, and shows us God still continues to ‘visit’ us in revivals–but in His own time and manner–and using those who are ordinary folks in ordinary ways…

Brandt and his ‘bus’ showed up in Lakeland because of reports of homeless people traveling to the ‘Lakeland outpouring to only be turned away–having no place to sleep. His endeavor to help these people resulted in him being arrested and put in jail. (story HERE)

But God (I love those two words–‘But God!) was preparing to bring about something wonderful from out of all of this…Below is the latest report:

the dirty carpet revival…

Something has happened here in Lakeland Florida that is a little difficult to explain. After my arrest and trying to continue not just to minister to, but befriend and meet the needs of the beautiful folk we have met here, our little potluck community parties started to get a little too big to hold in my bus in the walmart parking lot (which is conveniently located across the street from Ignited Church). The night I got arrested, some kids from Tampa drove down and worshiped with Max and James in the bus, and slowly every night it got bigger.

more of “The lords canvas”

i wanted to post some more photos, (including new mexico) it would be interesting to see if anyone recognizes some of these spots.

“The lord’s canvas”

hello all, just got back sunday morning just in time for morning service at my church and it feels good to be home. i first would like to openly thank the lord again for a prayer answered regarding my mother, (pj miller) it has been a long wait for the answer but well worth it. I recently took some pictures from different places such as california, wyoming, new mexico, texas and missouri. some of the scenery me and my brother get to see while out on the road are one of the few perks we have, but it came to me that since it is all gods creation, i realize that he must have one heck of an awesome place prepared for his people when he comes back for his bride. i will set this up a little better once i figure out how to do it, keep in mind some of these are taken while truckin down the road at a high rate of speed! ha,ha.

“Ordinary folk”

Hello all, this is the worm back from a couple of weeks of driving around these great states of ours, (some pictures to soon follow). Something on my mind i felt like commenting on. A question of sorts; if christ was walking among us tomorrow, would u recognize him for who he really is? yes, it may sound a little corny, but ive got a hunch that some of us wouldnt. Think about it; he walks into the local bar and witnesses to a bartender, (or barfly; i used to be one). Or u see him conversing with a well known crossdressing prostitute, explaining to him,(or her) about how he died on the cross for our sins. Or he walks into the auditorium where u have the so called anointed using that old phrase “u aint hearin’ me”, would u feel comfortable having him sit next to you? Its just a thought.

Ive had some christian acquaintances in the past who were on the prosperity kick and who felt that every blessing that they were to give and receive was that of monetary or material wealth. Unfortunately i dont believe christ would be as “chummy” as they would like to believe. I spoke openly this very thought over breakfast one morning with some of these guys, they pretended like they didnt hear it, but i know they did. Oh yeah, i did say “former acquaintances” didnt i? anyway, im not saying that i would recognize him right off the bat either, my point is, these “ordinary folk” are precisely the ones he came for, the ones that really need him, not the ones that think they’ve got it all figured out from a two day seminar or”conference of power”. I just pray that i and all my “peeps”(this means u) would have not only the ear to hear but also the eyes to see christ for who he really was, is, and is to come.
